Asbestos has been used in the past for a variety of construction purposes, including insulation and as a fire retardant. When materials that contain asbestos are damaged or disturbed, harmful fibres can be released and inhaled.
If these minerals are found in rock or soil in your excavation site, they must be professionally removed for safety purposes.
